The 2022 GMC Hummer EV pickup can go 329 miles on a single charge. It also has a massive 212.7 kWh battery pack.

The Hummer EV pickup is an off-road beast but, it comes at a cost. Not only is the electric pickup a pricey vehicle, but it’s also heavy and inefficient.

The electric Hummer weighs 9,063 pounds, and its battery weighs 2,923 pounds. The battery alone weighs more than some vehicles.

While the Hummer EV pickup has a competitive 329 miles of range, it’s not as efficient as you’d hope.

It gets an average of 49 MPGe. Rivian’s R1T has a combined 70 MPGe rating. But, the Hummer EV beats the Rivian R1T and Ford F-150 Lightning with range.

The Hummer EV pickup remains a powerful off-road vehicle. Also, it packs more than 1,000 horsepower.

It’s an inefficient electric truck, but a capable one. Aside from the Hummer EV, GMC plans to launch cheaper and lighter models.
