Aptera Motors takes a different approach to electric vehicles. The company’s EVs are solar-powered and have three wheels.

Aptera Motors is the first to offer a solar electric vehicle (sEV).

On a full charge, it has more than 1,000 miles of driving range. It’s also significantly quick.

The all-wheel-drive version can reach 60 mph in 3.5 seconds, and the front-wheel-drive version can do it in 5.5 seconds.

The best part about an sEV is that it doesn’t need charging for most daily use.

The following is a video with two Aptera vehicles racing against a Tesla Model 3 and Audi R8.

Aptera didn’t provide details about the Tesla Model 3 or Audi R8, but it’s still impressive.

Reservations for an Aptera sEV are open. It’ll cost between $25,900 and $50,700.

You can customize and reserve the vehicle with a $100 deposit.

If you order one, your delivery may be in 2023 or 2024. Aptera plans to start production in its new 80,000 square-foot facility in Carlsbad, California.
